I'm risking the "wrath of Philip" for blogging one of his shoots without his knowledge... But I think that is was such a neat shoot with such great and different images, that any risk will be worth it (plus, he's on vacation - surely he won't be checking the blog!). :-)
This shoot was spurred from a FABULOUS client who wanted a summery photo shoot of her kids with an old "Kodachrome" feel: rich colors that are somehow washed out & over-exposed. They met at Shawnee Mission Lake and things got wet!
I'm holding out on you, because I really want to share the photo of Philip lying down in the lake to get a photo of the kids on the beach. It's classic because it shows what length we'll go to, to get a great photo. You might notice that a few of the photos you'll see below are shot from within the lake. But on a hot day, what's better than getting in the water and cooling off?!
I am pretty sure FABULOUS is really an overstatement - but I still love it - never been called that before. And all the credit goes to Phillip and Rachel on these. How will I ever choose which picture - here goes my life's savings (if I had one!)
